The Enigma of the Hour back cover

Sorry I haven't been all that active this summer art-wise. Mostly because the world of fanfic has engulfed me, lol. But I've been weaning myself off (especially with uni starting tomorrow, holy shit, tomorrow), and then uni set me a summer project. Ehh, I'm not entirely happy with the overall result since it was a bit of a rush job (only got the news of it mid-August, whut), but I ended up making a graphic novel cover, and I really liked what I did for the back, so here it is.

The subject was literally just 'The Enigma of the Hour (looking beyond the everyday)' (the title of a painting), and they just basically told us to run with it, so I reinvented an old character, Amelie Chao, as a time-traveller.

Here I stained some watercolour with coffee, drew on it in pencil and edited it to bring out the highlights and put a gradient over the top.
